RAMADAN
Ramadan one of the five pillars of Islam is the month in which the faithful Muslim is closer to its creator. We will talk about it's origin.
Ramadan is the name of the ninth
month in the Muslim calendar. It marks the beginning of the revelation of the
Qur'an to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace and
Salvation of God on Him), and is practiced during this healthy month. In
Arabic, this word means "intense heat" since it is considered
"like a good action burning sins". This is a time of year when
Muslims are not allowed to eat, drink, smoke or have sex from sunrise to
sunset. An opportunity for all believers to reflect on their faith, on others
and on themselves. But Ramadan is also a great moment of sharing since once the
sun sets, family and friends gather around a good meal.
The month of Ramadan is the blessed
month in which the gates of paradise are open and those of hell remain closed.
