The Dashboard
The dashboard is a virtual office where instructors manage all components of the classes and even students enrolled. To access a specific class, the instructor clicks on the name of the class. The class page presented a left menu, the main part, and a right sidebar. One the left, there is a navigation menu and one the right there are few links like (Upcoming events, Privates files, the calendar, etc.). The Participants' link on the left menu under a class shows all users enrolled in the class, with their roles with details on the information and progress, and statistics of that user. The course is mostly organized per week. On the main/central part of the course page, there is the weekly progress of the course. The blue background displayed on a specific week indicates that the course is happening in that week and students must complete the materials in that week. On the right side, on the course page: there are several tools. For example, a search bar, the latest announcements, upcoming events and recent activities of students.
On the top right page, there is a « Turn editing on » link (ONLY INSTRUCTOR can see that). Before modifying the page, instructors have to click on that link to access the administration mode. Then, it is possible to add assignments and other materials that students will need to complete during the course. Add materials: you can easily drag and drop any materials (PDF, Word, audio, video, links, etc.) for students to view in the appropriate week.
